Ludlow is a market town in Shropshire, England close to the Welsh border and in the Welsh Marches. Its constructed on the east bank of the River Teme. Its norman castle dates back to 1086.
Ludlow is one of Europe's best preserved historic towns and a respected capital to South Shropshire. The town centre still dominated by its market square that hosts events and attractions outside the castle.
Walk from the market square and you tread a medieval street pattern established 900 years ago. Many buildings have changed with the times, most notably when medieval timber framing was hidden by clean cut Georgian façades down Broad Street and Mill Street. But almost unchanged is the church of St Laurence and its beautiful tower.
